Posted October 13, 2018 08:30:10A leading Australian financial services recruitment agency, Halsted Financial, is to launch a new program to provide free, no-obligation training for new and existing employees in blockchain and cryptocurrency industries.
The company, which has offices in Sydney and Melbourne, said it wanted to make it easier for employees to learn about blockchain and cryptocurrencies and provide access to more training in the industry.
The program is the latest in a series of initiatives from Halsted which aim to give employees a better understanding of the industry and its processes.
“We want to give people a greater understanding of how the blockchain works and the impact that blockchain has in the financial services industry, which is important to our members,” Halsted CEO Chris Dennison said.
“Our members are highly motivated to join a company that will help them to build an exciting future for themselves and their families.”
Dennison is keen to attract the new generation of financial professionals.
“The blockchain has a lot of promise for financial services.
It is the next generation of finance,” he said.
Halsted is currently seeking applicants to fill its new position in the Financial Services Division.
It said the opportunity was for people from across the world who want to get their hands dirty in the sector.
“Halsted welcomes candidates from across Australia and overseas who want the same career opportunities as our members, but who have a passion for financial technology,” Dennisons said.
He said there were some key benefits to joining the firm.
“There are many benefits to becoming a member of Halsted, which we are happy to share,” he added.
“Firstly, we can give them access to our training and support via our training programme, which will also give them a chance to get an in-depth look at how blockchain works, how the technology works, and how to use it effectively,” he explained.
Halstad also has a blockchain-focused team in the Department of Banking and Finance, where Dennson said they are keen to expand their expertise.
“They are also keen to help us bring in more financial services talent,” he continued.
“This is a great opportunity to bring in a new generation in the field of blockchain.”
Halsted Financial has offices across Australia.
Its clients include many large and emerging financial institutions, and it also helps with recruiting new staff.
