By Stephanie D. Wilson, Washington PostFinancial services companies are often a good place to start, but some customers want to move further.
The Financial Industry Regulatory Authority recently recommended that many of the nation’s largest banks give customers a choice of four financial services providers that offer a wide range of financial products, from personal checking accounts to credit card and savings accounts.
The four companies should offer customers the flexibility they need to manage their finances and keep their savings.
The banks that make up the top four firms in the ranking were among the best when it came to customer satisfaction in 2017.
Here’s a look at the five firms that made the cut: AT&T (top) , Citigroup (top), JPMorgan Chase (top-four) and Bank of America (top four) had the highest customer satisfaction ratings in 2017, according to the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston.
Citigroup and Bank are two of the largest banks in the country, and both have good customer service and a good reputation.
The FDIC said that the three firms that had the lowest customer satisfaction scores in 2017 had strong reputation, and it has long been the case that the financial services industry tends to have good service.
However, it also noted that while the FDIC’s rankings are based on the quality of customer service, it can’t always be attributed to a firm’s financial product, or its reputation for customer service.
The firms with the best customer service have been improving over time, the FDIE said.
The three top-rated firms in 2017 were Bank of Americas, Citigroup, and JPMorgan Chase.
JPMorgan Chase, Bank of American and Citigroup all had positive marks in the FDIA’s 2017 Customer Satisfaction Index.
But it noted that the banks’ ratings were only a snapshot, and some customers may have experienced different experiences.
Bank of Amer’s ratings were in the middle of the pack for the FDI, and Citibank’s were in line with the industry average, the bank said.
Overall, the four banks that scored the highest on the FDIES’ Customer Satisfy index in 2017 included: Wells Fargo (No. 4), Bank of New York Mellon (No .5), and Capital One (No 5).
Wells Fargo and Capital one both had positive ratings in the top-ranked financial services companies, the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC).
The banks with the lowest ratings in that year were: Bank of Americach (No 2), Capital One and Citiglo (No 1), and First Community Bank (No 6).
Capital One had a poor score in 2017 due to a lack of customer-service experience.
The Bank of the United States also had poor ratings in 2016, when it failed to meet the standards of its competitors.
For the FDIs’ rankings of the top five banks in 2017: Citigroup had the best rating, followed by JPMorgan Chase with the second-best, Bank had the third-best and Wells Fargo was fourth.
Citiglians ratings for the fourth-best bank were Bankwest and Capitalone.
The top four financial service companies were all located in New York City, which is the most diverse in the United State.
There were many other areas where New York and New Jersey were in competition, as well, with banks located in San Francisco, Miami and Washington, D.C. Wells Fargo’s New York office is in Manhattan, while Bankwest’s is in the District of Columbia.
Capital One’s headquarters is in Stamford, Connecticut.
Bankwest is headquartered in Stamford.
Bank and Citic’s offices are in Wilmington.
Wells and Capital have their headquarters in Charlotte.
JPMorgan and Bankwest have their offices in New Orleans.
Wells has offices in Richmond, Virginia.
Citibans headquarters is located in Richmond.
JPMorgan has offices and an office in Charlotte and has offices nationwide.
Citic has offices, an office and an Office Depot.
Bank has offices around the country.
Wells is headquartered at its headquarters in Wilmington, Delaware.
Capital has offices worldwide.
Wells, Capital, and Bank all have branches and financial services centers in the states of California, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Texas, Virginia, Washington and Wisconsin.
The Federal Reserve’s financial services index includes two ratings of banks, and those two ratings are combined to create a composite score.
The consumer is not required to complete the form for the top three financial service firms to earn a score.
But some people may have trouble with that because of the complicated requirements of the form.
The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau has a similar process for making sure people can complete the forms, which include the type of financial product offered, the customer service experience, the quality and quantity of service, and the quality or quantity of materials.
In addition, the form asks whether the person is a current customer.
The form is available at http://www.federalreserve.gov/finance/consumer/index.html.
